ROSUGAH
What is Rosugah?
Rosugah is a combination of two concepts:
•“Rosu” is inspired by the words Rocker and Sufi—a person who outwardly embodies the bold and rebellious style of a rocker, yet carries the deep serenity and wisdom of a Sufi.
•“Gah” (گاه) is a Persian suffix used for both time and place, seen in words like “Andishgah” (اندیشگاه - place of thought), “Niyayeshgah” (نیایشگاه - place of worship), and “Tamashagar-Gah” (تماشاگرگاه - viewing space).
So, Rosugah is both a place and a moment—a space for self-discovery, artistic and philosophical experiences, and the exchange of new ideas.
Why the Hamsa Symbol?
The symbol of Hamsa—a stylized hand with five fingers—has been used across various cultures for centuries as a representation of protection, strength, and balance. It is recognized in different traditions as a symbol of guidance, warding off negativity, and embracing a journey toward inner wisdom.
We chose Hamsa for Rosugah because it embodies key ideas:
1. A Fusion of East and West: Just as Rosu’s philosophy blends two different worlds, this symbol has roots in multiple cultures, acting as a bridge between them.
2. Freedom and Growth: The form embodies both protection and guidance while symbolizing forward movement and personal development.
3. A Unique Identity: With a modern and minimalist design, this symbol becomes the visual signature of Rosugah, where tradition and the future merge.
This blend of meaning and aesthetics makes Hamsa the perfect emblem for Rosugah, encapsulating its essence as a place of transformation, artistic exploration, and philosophical depth.
